Episerver Names Kirsten Allegri Williams As CMO

Episerver, a provider of web and email personalization services, has named Kirsten Allegri Williams as chief marketing officer.

The company has also launched a service called Intelligence Cloud, that it says provides website and email content and product recommendations and a customer data platform that is compliant with GDPR and CCPA.

Allegri Williams will head global marketing while overseeing the brand consolidation of Insite Software and content personalization/analytics firm Idio, both acquired in 2019.

Intelligence Cloud moves Idio “from Amazon Web Service to the Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure,” states Justin Anovick, chief product officer at Episerver.

According to the company, Intelligence Cloud provides AI-based personalization and data analytics. Over 30 clients have gone live with it, the company says.

In addition, the firm claims that its personalization capabilities have helped boost Arcadia’s average order by 67%, Cath Kidston’s conversion rates by 50% and New Era Caps’ conversion rate by 64%.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and other factors, marketing is undergoing a digital transformation, Allegri Williams says.

“The global crisis is a turning point for every industry,” Allegri Williams states. “There is an undeniable shift toward digital-first which requires differentiated brand experiences and the need for CMOs, CIOs, and e-commerce leaders to rapidly adapt to changing conditions.”
