Lincoln is offering all its clients a one-year premium membership to the Calm wellness app.
The two brands recently came together and enlisted actor and Lincoln spokesman Matthew McConaughey in a virtual conversation recorded July 31 focused on the “Future of Wellness.” Calm’s offerings include a “bedtime story” voiced by McConaughey.
The collaboration kicks off today, ahead of #NationalRelaxationDay on Aug.15.
“This collaboration, a first of its kind in automotive, is another way for us to offer something personal to our clients: a sense of calm, balance and rejuvenation so they can focus on what matters most,” said Michael Sprague, North America director, The Lincoln Motor Company, who also participated in the virtual conversation.
Last year, Lincoln and Calm offered the premium membership to select clients and consumers in a pilot program tested across multiple cities, and the response was overwhelmingly favorable. Among 1,500 consumers surveyed, 97% said they found the Lincoln and Calm mindfulness experience to be positive.
“The one gift that we can all give ourselves is a moment to help us find our balance,” McConaughey says. “Life is certainly stressful enough these days, so whether it’s being more mindful, taking five minutes for yourself before the drive home to decompress after a long day, or just being kinder, continue to look after yourself and those around you.”
During the wellness conversation, McConaughey revealed that engaging in a sweat-breaking physical activity — “even just dancing” — at least once day is one thing he does to maintain physical and mental wellness.
The collaboration is timely during the COVID-19 pandemic, as consumers attempt to navigate new and often stressful situations.
As part of the collaboration, clients can redeem their Lincoln Access Rewards points to receive a Calm gravity blanket, sleep mask and sleep mist.
