Mini USA and Airbnb are teaming up to offer a weekend escape for city dwellers from Los Angeles and New York. 

Like the Mini vehicle they come complete with, both rentals are a pint-sized “tiny houses.” For $1 per night (plus taxes and fees), guests can book the turnkey road trip on Airbnb. The listings will be cleaned and prepared in accordance to Airbnb’s expert-backed Enhanced Cleaning Protocol.

“Orchard Views from a Light-Filled Tiny Home with a Fire Pit” in Marlboro, New York will provide guests with all the amenities they need to relax and unwind after a long day of exploring the nearby State Parks in a Mini Cooper S 4-door hardtop. Host Raven is offering this three-night-stay special with check-ins  available on October 16, November 6, and November 20. 

Host Hillary’s “Off-Grid Stargazing Cabin in Twentynine Palms, Calif.” comes complete with a Mini Cooper Convertible. Completely off the grid, this listing will be available for three-night stays with check-ins on November 6, November 12 and December 4. 

“While so many aspects of our lives have changed recently, getting away to enjoy the twists and turns of the open road in a Mini remains as fun as ever,” said Rah Mahtani, marketing and communications manager for Mini USA. “That’s why teaming up with Airbnb is a perfect way for us to help people escape for a few days and relax at one of these two properties which come with a Mini to help enhance the experience.” 

Bookings open on September 10 at 1 p.m. Pacific Time and will be available for selected guest stay dates until sold out. 

“With everything going on in the world today, we want to offer consumers an escape from the day to day grind with a fun drive out on the open road with family and friends,” Mahtani tells Marketing Daily. “We will continue to look for opportunities to offer consumers a unique Mini experience that will put a smile on their faces during these difficult times.”
