IPG Mediabrands Names Global Chief Culture Officer: New Position Overseeing Diversity

IPG Mediabrands this morning named Hermon Ghermay its first-ever Global Chief Culture Officer -- a new role created to oversee the agency network’s cultural efforts including overseeing diversity, equity and inclusion (DE&I) strategy, planning, and execution -- and will hold global, regional and local leadership accountable to the company’s diversity commitments and goals.

Ghermay, who reports to Mediabrands Global CEO Daryl Lee, joins from director of executive search and advisory firm Grace Blue Partnership, but her resume includes account management positions at a variety of blue-chip agencies, including Goodby, Silverstein & Partners; Deutsch; and Leo Burnett.

“Culture is the operating system of an organization," Ghermay said in a statement, noting: "Now more than ever we must look at what’s happening at the intersection of identity and corporate culture and ensure that we’re creating an environment where people feel seen, heard, and supported."
