MDC Partners And Its General Counsel Are Parting Ways

MDC Partners is parting ways with its General Counsel Jonathan Mirsky at the end of the month.

The two sides called the split “mutually agreed to” in an SEC document disclosing the news.

Mirksy was only in the job for a little over a year, having joined in June 2019 from a Washington, D.C. law firm, where his specialty was M&A.

The company said Mirsky will receive the severance benefits outlined in his employment agreement for a termination defined as “without cause.” He will also receive a prorated amount of his previously granted long-term incentive awards.

Mirksy is being replaced by David Ross, a 10-year veteran of the company and current executive vice president, strategy and corporate development. In that role, he oversees the company’s M&A activities, agency partnership agreements among other duties.
