The BMW Group and General Motors have extended and expanded their relationships withSiriusXM.

The audio entertainment service is now a standard feature in all BMW models sold in the United States beginning with model year 2021. BMW owners will also receivea 12-month subscription to SiriusXM's top tier package with the purchase or lease of a new vehicle.

The new agreement runs through the 2026 calendar year. Additionally, SiriusXM becomes a standard feature in all Rolls Royce models and BMW Motorcycles, and will be standard in Mini vehicles starting with the 2022 model year.

BMW was one of the first manufacturers to offer SiriusXM in its vehicles in 2002, says Monika D. Reimel, head of BMW aftersales business development.

"In-vehicle technology and entertainment have become as important to BMW drivers as the performance and handling of their new automobiles," Reimel says in a release.

Last month SiriusXM extended and expanded its relationship with General Motors through 2027.

General Motors will expand the number of vehicles equipped with SiriusXM to nearly all Chevrolet, Buick, GMC and Cadillac vehicles beginning with the 2021 model year. Customers buying or leasing the GM vehicles will continue to receive a three-month trial subscription to SiriusXM All Access. This offer also applies to those who buy or lease pre-owned vehicles.

General Motors will also keep rolling out its integration of SiriusXM with 360L. The platform in GM vehicles enables multiple drivers and passengers to customize and maintain their own presets and favorites through individual vehicle profiles.

SiriusXM also has partnerships with American Honda (Honda and Acura), Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (Alfa Romeo, Chrysler, Dodge, Fiat and Jeep), Aston Martin, Audi, Bentley, Ford Motor Co., Genesis, Hyundai, Infiniti, Jaguar and Kia.
