Portland, OR-based agency Thesis is acquiring the assets of Bonfire Marketing (also based in Portland) as Bonfire’s founder Ryan Lewis transitions out of the industry.
Under the deal, Thesis will initially contract with all seven of Bonfire Marketing’s employees transferring their titles and responsibilities. Founder/CEO Lewis will stay on as a consultant for an unspecified period.
The agencies will combine their teams under Thesis’ operations once staff returns to the office. All Bonfire clients will now become part of Thesis’s roster. Bonfire as a brand name will cease to exist.
The two agencies have previously partnered on pitches and projects.
“Being a part of Portland’s tight-knit creative and business community together with Bonfire has enabled us to collaborate in many instances over the years,” says Ryan Buchanan, CEO of Thesis. “Our core strengths are complementary and our approach to data analytics align, so this is a great fit. This expansion allows us to offer an expanded suite of capabilities to our new and existing clients, while expanding our technology client portfolio.”
