Joan Creative agency is teaming with Facebook Creative Experiences (CreativeX) to introduce the first Facebook Live haunted house virtual event.

The “Happy Haunting — Live from the Winchester Mystery House” started on Oct. 20 and features a family-friendly scavenger hunt, ghost stories, and a live chat with paranormal investigators.

The event host, comedian Trey Kennedy, In partnership with This Old Haunted House Facebook Group, will guide guests through not just the activities, but also the history of Winchester Mystery House.

Over the past year, Joan Creative and CreativeX have been working on the "More Together" brand campaign to promote the platform’s Groups as well as recognize various ways people can come together over shared interests and experiences.

With Halloween approaching Facebook CreativeX and JOAN looked for “interesting examples” of people coming together for all things spooky in Facebook Groups, and This Old Haunted House.Facebook Group inspired the idea for a virtual tour. Joan then brought the idea of “Happy Haunting” and Winchester Mystery House to the table.

“With so many celebrations relegated to the home, the spooky ambience of being out after dark will likely be lost on Halloween this year,” says Sarah Collinson, managing director, Joan. “On top of that, so many families are struggling financially, so candy, costumes and decorations may not be as feasible for everyone. We wanted to keep the magic alive, and it was exciting to uncover a creative avenue to still have the thrills and chills of the season, but on a platform that provides an accessible way to bring people together.”
