‘Tis the season for buying products while staying at home. There were more than 103,000 deals live over Cyber Weekend across both marketplace and first party sales, according to an analysis
by Publicis Commerce.
The top three brands with the most Cyber weekend promotions across major retailers tracked were Lego, Philips and Anker.
The agency also analyzed shopping data
using its Commerce Intelligence platform to track four online retailers — Amazon, Walmart, Best Buy and Target — to uncover when discounts were at their highest, which categories rose to
the top and what retailers’ sales strategy were for Black Friday. Notably, there were just as many sales live on Saturday, as there were on Friday across these four chains.
Amazon went
back to its consumer electronics roots this holiday weekend by making these products the most discounted category per the Publicis Commerce the research. Similarly, Best Buy played to its original
tech audience by offering the biggest discounts across home sound accessories and drones. The average discount at the tech chain was 30%.
