Match Marketing Group Reorganizes

Match Marketing Group (MMG) is restructuring, creating two operations: Public Label, offering integrated, experiential and shopper marketing services; and Match Retail, providing sales, merchandising and branded retail expertise. MMG itself becomes the parent organization for the newly created units.

“We’re thrilled to see Match Retail and Public Label enter the market," said Brian Cohen, CEO of Match Marketing Group. "This move allows us to more clearly articulate what makes us special and unique in the market, provides the foundation for greater focus in our investment strategies, and most importantly, provides the perfect foundation for our team members in areas like career mapping and purpose.”

MMG has spent the last year incubating these new shops that will become the external faces of Match Marketing Group, with MMG acting as a shared service for functions like finance, HR and legal.

Public Label’s leadership team includes Eric Moncaleano, ECD; Brian Kittelson, EVP brand strategy & commercialization; Anne Dean, SVP, marketing solutions; and Gary Westgate, VP, creative.

Match Retail’s leadership team will be co-led by managing directors Vanessa Schnekenburger and Greg Quick.

As part of the reorganization, Public Label will be based in Boulder and Toronto, while Match Retail will remain located in Toronto.

This rejiggering follows MMG’s acquisition by private equity firm Southfield Capital in 2018. MMG named new leadership in 2019 with the appointment of Cohen as CEO who was tasked with creating a new vision to grow the agency.
