Alleged Pro-Trump Rioter Fired By Direct Marketing Company

Navistar Direct Marketing, a direct mail company based in Frederick, Maryland, has fired an employee it says participated in the storming of the U.S. Capitol earlier this week by pro-Trump groups, according to reports.

The company, which did not release the man’s name, said it recognized him from a picture distributed by the Washington, DC police. The man was wearing a company name badge on a lanyard and a Trump hat.

The riot -- which some have likened to an insurrection or attempted coup -- resulted in five deaths, including that of a police officer, and has led to calls for President Trump’s immediate removal from office based on his purported incitement of the crowd.

Police identified the man as a person of interest. However, the extent of his participation was not known at deadline. There have been numerous arrests and job losses.

Navistar issued the following statement on Thursday:

"Navistar Direct Marketing was made aware that a man wearing a Navistar company badge was seen inside the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021 during the security breach. After review of the photographic evidence the employee in question has been terminated for cause.

It was not 'purported' - 'based on his purported incitement of the crowd.'

He DID incite the crowd.  And continues to do so.
