Ad Production Veteran Jose Nunez Forms New Content Company

The producers behind 2020’s award-winning documentary The Donut King, directed by Alice Gu, have launched Logan Industry, a Los Angeles-based commercial, film and TV production company.

Veteran commercial producer José Nuñez serves as Logan Industry founding partner and executive producer. He co-founded Logan with financier Gonzalo Troncoso and entrepreneurs Andy Rosillo and Eu Correa.

In addition to Gu, the Logan Industry roster includes filmmakers Alexander Alexandrov, Laurent Ledru, Mauricio Sierra and Luis Aguer. Their recent commercial work includes spots for Apple, Nike, Tumi, Vogue, Coca-Cola, Samsung, Ford, Harley-Davidson, Microsoft and Disney. 

Working closely with Nuñez will be Logan Industry executive producers Paul Kawasaki and Marthinus Lamprecht. Kawasaki is a production industry veteran who has spent the past 14 years at RSA Films, most recently as executive producer. Lamprecht is a seasoned freelancer who in recent years, has produced almost exclusively for Nuñez.

The award-winning Donut King is an account of a refugee from war-torn Cambodia who makes his fortune in California creating a chain of popular donut shops. One of Logan’s upcoming projects is a scripted biopic version of the documentary.
