Netflix's Paris Theater Reopens Today: Features Oscar Nominees, Free Popcorn

The iconic Paris theater, New York City's last single-screen cinema and the home for Netflix original film public screenings since 2019 when the streaming service acquired it, reopens today.

The theater will feature two of its Oscar-nominated films -- "The Trial of the Chicago 7" and "Mank" -- through April 1, and will be serving free popcorn and beverages at all shows.

The theater also announced it has joined the CinemaSafe alliance promoting protocols and guidelines developed and supported by leading epidemiologists to support a safe return for moviegoers.

Since opening an engagement of Marriage Story on Nov. 6, 2019, Netflix has operated the landmark theater, which was expected to close.
