GroupM Taps Olivieri For New Global Innovation Role

GroupM has promoted Krystal Olivieri to Global Chief Innovation Officer.

The role is new and she is tasked with working with the group’s agencies (Mindshare, Wavemaker and others) external partners and startups to develop new, improved and sustainable products and services.

Previously Olivieri served as GroupM’s senior vice president, global data strategy and partnerships, a role in which she led data strategy and partnerships globally for company.

Olivieri is credited with helping create some of GroupM's key privacy and data products and solutions, including the consumer privacy Data Ethics Compass tool that was developed in partnership with Unilever and launched in February.

The Innovation team that Olivieri now leads will work with agencies and the recently merged data entity Choreograph to develop and improve products and solutions. It will also work closely with outside firms that GroupM has Investments in and partnerships with  to identify and codevelop innovation opportunities.

“We’ve made a lot of progress toward our goal to create operational efficiencies and better leverage our scale to innovate, differentiate and create sustained value for clients,” said Christian Juhl, GroupM Global CEO. “Krystal is no stranger to this, as evident in the innovation-led products and solutions she helped conceive and co-design throughout the years. I’m really looking forward to seeing Krystal and the Innovation team scale, for and with clients, in close partnership with the agencies.”

Prior to joining GroupM she held strategy and business development roles at Xaxis and Omnicom Media Group.
