Capital One Enlists 'Schitt's Creek' Stars For Auto Navigator

Capital One is launching its first national campaign for its digital automotive shopping tool with the help of two of the cast of the TV sitcom "Schitt’s Creek."

Just in time for Father’s Day, the spot, “Dad Mode,” features Eugene and Sarah Levy engaging in a humorous early morning exchange showcasing how the traditional car-buying experience can be made easy with Capital One Auto Navigator.

Eugene Levy turns to the camera at the end of the spot and delivers the banking company's "What's in your wallet?" tagline.

Capital One Auto Navigator is a digital tool for car shoppers that allows them to prequalify for auto financing and browse millions of vehicles while seeing their personalized rate and monthly payment. The service can be used before a shopper event sets foot in a dealership and with no impact to their credit score.

It is similar to tools offered on car shopping websites like CarGurus and CarZing.

The 30-second spot, created by GSD&M, is running both digitally and on broadcast TV during both the NBA and NHL playoffs. The effort also includes social media and a longform version of the ad.

"Buying a car is one of the most important purchases a person will make, so they often talk with those they trust to help guide them,” says Sanjiv Yajnik, president, financial services, Capital One, in a release. "Eugene and Sarah brought this experience to life in such a compelling, entertaining way.”

Capital One Auto Navigator is available online and via app from the Google Play Store for Android and App Store for iPhone.
