Longtime TV Fox Sports Ad Executive Seth Winter To Retire, Evans Will Take Top Role

Veteran TV sports ad executive Seth Winter is retiring as executive vice president of sports sales for Fox Sports, with Mark Evans, now promoted to executive vice president, advertising sales of Fox Sports.

Evans will report to Marianne Gambelli, president of ad sales for Fox Corp., and will work closely with Eric Shanks, CEO-executive producer for Fox Sports.

Evans will oversee all the sports TV programming ad sale efforts at the Fox Television Network, FS1, FS2, Fox Sports Digital, Fox Deportes and Fox Soccer Plus. Evans takes over from Winter, who is scheduled to retire in February 2022, after a more than 40-year career in media ad sales.

A longtime Fox veteran, Evans joined Fox in 1994. He comes to the position having been senior vice president of sports brand partnerships for Fox Ad Sales, developing creative content partnerships and marketing for T-Mobile, Ford Motors, Geico and General Motors.

Seth Winter has been with Fox since 2019, where he worked on major sports programming content, including NFL, Major League Baseball, and “Thursday Night Football.”

Before that, he worked for nearly 20 years at NBC, alongside Gambelli, where he rose to executive vice president of advertising sales for NBC Sports Group. There, he led cross-platform advertising sales efforts across the Olympics, “Sunday Night Football,” “Thursday Night Football,” NHL, NASCAR and Premier League, among others.

Prior to NBC, Winter was VP/GM of WRBW-TV Orlando and also worked at WOR-TV New York.
