Snap Snags 2 New Hires From Competing Social Networks

Snap Inc. has announced two new hires.

Win Sakdinan will fill the senior director of business marketing role, while Meghana Dhar will become global head of brand partnerships at the camera and social media company.

Now based in New York, Sakdinan has more than 20 years of global marketing experience, with the past six years spent at competing social media platform Twitter.

Sakdinan led Twitter’s U.S. and Canadian marketing teams’ development of strategies and campaigns to boost the social media company's reputation in the advertising industry.

Prior to Twitter, Sakdinan was with Procter & Gamble, working in global social media, communications, and sales. With Snap, Sakdinan will oversee business marketing in North America.

Meghana Dhar, previously a founding member of the Instagram Shopping Partnerships Team, is based in San Francisco.

During Dhar’s four years at Instagram, she was responsible for launching the first set of brands that went live on IG Shopping. She then helped to expand the program into Asia and EMEA. Before Instagram, Dhar worked at retail company b8ta and ecommerce company eBay.

At Snap, Dhar will focus on creating partnership opportunities and driving holistic engagement for partnered brands.
