Cannes Lions Names AB InBev 2022 Marketer Of The Year

The Cannes Lions festival this morning named Anheuser-Busch InBev (AB InBev) 2022's "Creative Marketer of the Year," citing the "outstanding haul" of 40 individual Lions awards it won for the 2020-21 festival.

"Over the past few years, some of the standout work has included Budweiser’s ‘TagWords’ in Brazil, Corona's 'The Match of Ages’ in Mexico, Bavaria’s ‘Tienda Cerca’ in Colombia and Michelob Ultra's ‘Contract for Change’ in the U.S.," the festival's organizers said in a statement, adding that the Creative Marketer of the Year award will be presented June 24 at this year's festival in Cannes, France.

The award was introduced in 1992, and past recipients have included Apple Inc. (2019), Google (2018), Burger King (2017) and Samsung Electronics (2016), and Microsoft (2021).
