NBCU's Peacock Gets New, Exclusive Sunday Morning MLB Package Of Games

NBCUniversal’s Peacock continues to bulk up its live sports programming with a new exclusive multiyear Sunday morning national TV package of Major League Baseball games starting next month.

The NBCUniversal streaming service will run 18 games -- one per week --- with pre-game and post-game programming.

Major League Baseball games will have a 11:30 a.m. ET start time for the first six weeks, followed by a noon start for the following 12 weeks.

The first game -- the Chicago White Sox vs. the Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park on May 8 -- will be simulcast on the NBC Television Network, with the remaining 17 games to run exclusively on Peacock.

This comes as Major League Baseball is also starting up another new package of games on “Friday Night Baseball”, a deal Apple TV+ secured for the first 12 weeks of the Major League Baseball season.

Those games are free, and available with internet access to Apple TV+. The first game is on Friday, April 8th -- the New York Mets vs. the Washington Nationals.

This past February, Peacock streamed live coverage of the Beijing Summer Olympics and the Super Bowl.

It also has run NFL “Sunday Night Football” games, Premier League soccer, Notre Dame football, the NTT IndyCar racing series, and WWE wrestling.
