Jay Appel Named First Chief Digital Officer For The Bloc

The Bloc health creative agency tapped Jay Appel as its first Chief Digital Officer. Appel lead The Bloc's UI/UX, digital solutions and innovation teams. He is planning a rapid build-out in 2022, including a content strategy team.

Most recently, Appel was executive director of worldwide engagement & channel planning at Bristol-Myers Squibb, where he led several large marketing teams to integrate customer touchpoints across the BMS portfolio in 20+ markets.
Appel was named Top 25 DTC Marketer in 2020 by, DTC Perspectives, the forum for direct-to-consumer (DTC) advertising.
