Havas Group Starts Year Off With Double Digit Q1 Growth

Havas Group reported strong revenue gains for the first quarter, a sign that the momentum gathered by the Vivendi-owned firm last year continues in 2022. Net revenues for the period totaled 564 euros ($594 million) up 18% with organic growth (which discounts M&A and currency impact) of 11.4%. That compares to an organic decline of nearly 1% for the first period of 2021.

In part the company attributed the strong showing to new offerings including Havas CX, a global customer experience network and ecommerce offering Havas Market.

By region, Europe and North America were the biggest contributors to growth (12.4% and 9% respectively). But smaller regions for the group also did well with APAC driving 9.3% growth and Latin America over 22%.

In March Vivendi reported full-year 2021 results, citing Havas Group as key growth driver for the company, and reaching pre-covid revenue levels with organic growth of 10.4%.

Havas Group is the second largest revenue contributor within Vivendi, behind Canal+ Group. Vivendi bought control of Havas in 2017.
