Starcom Taps Schwartz For Global Marketing Role

Publicis Groupe’s Starcom has hired Robert Schwartz as Global CMO a new role at the agency. He reports to Michael Epstein, Global & US CEO and is tasked with leading brand strategy and narrative development, visual identity & communications, and all marketing for Starcom across its core paid, owned and earned channels.

The two executives worked together earlier at Dentsu, where Schwartz held the top marketing role and Epstein was CEO of Media Brands and Product. “I am very proud of our work together,” said Epstein, “and can’t wait to do the same for Starcom." Epstein joined Starcom a year ago.

Schwartz is an agency marketing veteran but most recently served as vice president, brand transformation at IBM Consulting.

Earlier Schwartz served as Global Managing Director at WPP, leading the holding company's InterContinental Hotels Group account. During his tenure at WPP, he also served as COO of Ogilvy & Mather South and Head of CRM for Ogilvy, North America.

Before Ogilvy, Schwartz held senior management positions at JPMorganChase, Prudential, AT&T, & Epsilon.
