Allen & Gerritsen Wins Boston Tourism Account

Boston-based agency Allen & Gerritsen has been selected as agency of record by The Greater Boston Convention & Visitors Bureau (GBCVB) after a formal review of two-dozen agencies from around the country. 

An agency rep said there was no AOR incumbent on the account. 

GBCVB promotes the city and surrounding metro area for convention-related business and domestic and international tourism and travel, Boston’s third largest industry. 

Under the new remit the A&G will lead an organizational rebrand and an international marketing campaign promoting the region. 

Martha J. Sheridan, President and CEO of the GBCVB, stated, “This is about the future and how we upend preconceived notions of Boston as we invite visitors to join us in crafting new narratives. Throughout this process, A&G has proven they are the agency to help us achieve that goal.” 

The new partnership will include brand and creative strategy, brand identity, design, creative concept development and production, data, analytics and more to be deployed across paid digital, social, TV, radio, print, out-of-home and trade show activations. 

A&G has begun work on brand strategy, positioning and creative concepting with work expected to launch in fall 2022.
