Brandtech Group In Talks To Acquire Jellyfish

Marketing services company The Brandtech Group confirmed today it is in exclusive talks to acquire digital marketing company Jellyfish.

Jellyfish, based in London, has raised hundreds of millions in the last couple of years to fund its expansion. It now has offices throughout Western Europe and Asia, as well as in the U.S. and Latin America.

The biggest single investment—over $500 million--came in 2019 from France’s Fimaloc, which acquired a majority stake and which is also involved in the ongoing Jellyfish M&A negotiations with Brandtech.

Earlier this year Jellyfish announced that it raised an additional $71 million in funding led by Accel, Insight Partners, and Tiger Global.

In June, Brandtech Group acquired a majority stake in e-commerce SaaS platform, Acorn-i.

Brandtech issued this brief statement today: “The Brandtech Group announced today it has entered into exclusive negotiations with Fimalac and Jellyfish, to potentially acquire global digital marketing company, Jellyfish.”

The Brandtech Group was founded in 2015 by former Havas CEO David Jones.
