Gronblom Tapped As Executive Creative Director, FCB New York

FCB New York has named a new executive creative director. Ida Gronblom, former ECD for 72and SunnyNY has joined the agency. At her last post, she worked on the Etsy, Grubhub, Seamless and Zoom accounts. 

Gronblom will serve as creative lead on Marcus by Goldman Sachs, as well as drive new business for FCB. In the past year, the agency was named AOR for Marcus, Morningstar Forms, Bitgreen, Total by Verizon, among others. She will also build out creative, working with Co-Chief Creative Officers Michael Aimette and Gabriel Schmitt.

Before 72andSunny, Gronblom worked at VCCP NY, Anomaly, particularly on the "Made by You" platform for Converse. Early in her career, she was an art director/copywriter for Wieden+Kennedy London.

Aimette called her "the perfect mix of designer, writer, entrepreneur, and pure creative talent."

In addition, FCB NY has also promoted Alexandre Abrantes to group creative director. He is part of the team behind “McEnroe vs. McEnroe” for Michelob ULTRA, “Mike’s in a Beer World” for Mike’s Hard Lemonade, and this year’s B2B Cannes Gold Lion winner “Song for Every CMO” for Spotify. He will now take a greater leadership role on AB InBev brands.

Schmitt said of Abrantes: “As amazing as it is to bring in new top talent as we grow, nothing is more gratifying than promoting the talent that has gotten us here in the first place."
