Ad Group VCCP Adds New York CMO Role, Taps Wills To Fill It

London-based VCCP continues to bolster its top management ranks on this side of the pond with the appointment of Robert Wills as its first New York Chief Marketing Officer. He's relocating from London To New York to take on the new role.

It's a promotion for Wills and follows the appointment of Brett Edgar as the Group's first ever North American CEO and Caroline Grayson as Managing Director of VCCP New York in October. 

Both join Jonny Shaw, the group’s International CSO and Ray Del Savio, New York-based executive creative director  NY to make up the management bench that is leading the group's expansion globally, particularly in North America.

Previously Wills was CMO EMEA. He's credited with helping to reel in clients such as LinkedIn, Honda Motorcycles and Everli during his 12-year tenure with the agency.

 Wills is tasked with creating a team of New York-based new business and communications specialists to generate new accounts and reinforce the agency's "challenger agency for challenger brands" positioning. 

The agency said Wills will also be involved in expanding VCCP+, VCCP’s dedicated global gaming arm, which is headquartered in New York. He will also work closely with Josh Robertson who is the group’s CMO for the APAC region. 

The group, formed 20-years ago, employs more than 1,450 people across its 10 offices in Auckland, London, New York, San Francisco, Salt Lake City, LA, Shanghai, Singapore, Madrid and Prague. 

In addition to the aforementioned accounts, clients include White Claw, Google, T-Mobile, Abbott, easyJet, Domino’s, Canon and Cadbury.
