Integrated communications agency VCCP Group has selected Robert Wills as its first New York Chief Marketing Officer, citing the office’s growth.
Before this, Wills was at VCCP’s headquarters in London, where he served as Chief Marketing Officer, EMEA.He was also instrumental in winning new clients, including LinkedIn, Honda Motorcycles and Everli.
His remit is to build a team of new business and communications specialists to sustain the agency’s momentum. He will work closely with Josh Robertson, CMO for the APAC region.
The news follows the appointment of Brett Edgar as the company's first North American CEO and Caroline Grayson as managing director of VCCP New York.
Wills was also part of the growth of VCCP+, the company’s global gaming arm, located in New York. VCCP+ delivers data-backed solutions to help brands build long-term value in the space.
Edgar said Wills is part of the push to “drive new business for the North American market and carve out our place in the competitive advertising landscape.”
The agency, which bills itself as “the challenger agency for challenger brands,” has offices in 10 cities, including Auckland, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Shanghai and Madrid.
Its client roster includes White Claw, Google and T-Mobile, Abbott, easyJet, Domino’s, Canon and Cadbury.
