Warner Bros. Discovery Promotes Strobel To EVP, Ad Sales

Warner Bros. Discovery has promoted Marybeth Strobel to executive vice president, advertising sales -- one of four senior executive lieutenants who will be reporting to Jon Steinlauf, chief U.S. advertising sales officer.

She will oversee national sales efforts around Food Network, TLC, OWN, Cooking Channel, TBS Entertainment, Cartoon Network and WB Syndication.

Strobel takes over the position held by Karen Grinthal, who will retire after 25 years with the company.

Strobel had been senior vice president of advertising sales for Warner Bros. Discovery Sports. The company says her experience across digital, programmatic and advanced advertising will help expand new advertising solutions for partners. This included Turner Sports and CNN.

Before Warner Bros., Strobel worked at ad agencies including Televest, Wells BDDP and Barry Blau.

Earlier this week, Warner Bros. Discovery said third-quarter network advertising sales were down 14% to $1.9 billion.
