Social Agency The Fifth Adds Two Senior Executives In U.S. Expansion Bid

UK social creative agency The Fifth, part of News Corp., has expanded its fledgling U.S. operation with the hiring of two senior executives.

Subin Kim joins as creative strategy director and Shannon Reed joins as vice president of accounts & operations.

An early expert in the evolving creator industry, Kim will lead the strategy team at the agency. He was previously with TikTok. He was the first creative strategy hire for the TikTok LA office, leading its entertainment vertical and building out the platform’s Creative Lab. He is tasked with growing The Fifth’s client portfolio and providing both strategic and creative direction for brands.

As The Fifth further expands into the U.S. market Reed will be responsible for developing and managing the region’s client roster.  The agency veteran previously served with Droga5 and 72andSunny in senior client roles.

In the U.S. the agency is based at FOX Studios in Los Angeles.  It launched in 2019 with a creative-led influencer marketing proposition. UK clients include Disney, YouTube, Fenty Beauty, UKTV and Square.

Oliver Lewis, CEO of The Fifth, said that the two new hires signal the agency’s “commitment to stateside operations and global growth. The combined agency, tech and entertainment experience both leaders bring will undoubtedly strengthen our position as a social creative agency.”
