Siemens Taps Mediaplus For Global Media Assignment

Mediaplus has been named the lead global media agency for Siemens Group, effective immediately. The company, a leading innovator of manufacturing processes, previously worked GroupM’s Mediacom on the remit.

The assignment covers media planning, buying, and strategy across all traditional and digital media, except search. Ad spending for Siemens is expected to exceed $10 million in 2023.

The account was awarded without a formal pitch and was partly based on work Mediaplus had done for Siemens on a previous project for the marketer’s global Xcelerator campaign.  In that effort, Mediaplus created and implemented an awareness campaign for a new digital business platform featuring a curated portfolio of IoT-enabled hardware and software.

Siemens said Mediaplus’s strength in strategic consulting, creative media approaches and innovative targeting were factors in its selection.

While global in scope, the assignment will initially focus on Siemens’ operations in Germany, US, UK, and Switzerland, in addition to the company’s world headquarters in Munich.

Mediaplus also will advise company units including Siemens Mobility, Siemens Digital Industries, and Siemens Smart Infrastructure.
