Digital media and marketing services firm
Goodway Group has elevated President Jay Friedman to the role of CEO. Friedman succeeds David Wolk, who takes the position of Executive Chairman.
The agency, which offers both
consumer-focused and B2B services, said near term priorities include growing its full-service retail media practice and expanding its data and analytics framework.
“Under Jay's
leadership, Goodway Group is poised to continue innovating in a constantly evolving industry,” stated Wolk.
Friedman is a 16-year veteran of the agency and is credited with helping drive
an annual compound growth rate of 21% from 2006-2022. He also led the firm’s transition to remote first work model and led its development and expertise in programmatic, retail media, CTV and
other areas.
Over the past year the New York-based agency acquired marketing agencies Tuff and Canton Marketing Solutions (the latter based in the UK).
Friedman's promotion
follows the recent expansion of Goodway Group's executive team, including the addition of John Davis, SVP Brand Direct and Michael Hayes, Chief Growth Officer.
The agency works with
clients like DoorDash, Staple, Dr Pepper and Subaru.
