We Are Social Expands Presence In China

Creative agency We Are Social is expanding its global presence. It has opened an office in Shenzhen, China.

The new outpost is led by Dickens Dong, General Manager, and opens with a team of 20. It plans to double staff by year’s-end. 

Clients of the new location include Amazfit, a Chinese smart wearable brand, consumer electronics brand CHiQ, Only the Brave, BYD and Snowsky Salt.

Aaron Breeds has been appointed creative director. Most recently, he led creative at HUAWEI.

Nathan McDonald, Group CEO at We Are Social, called Shenzhen "the perfect fit for the agency. It's home to a busy, thriving tech community with both emerging and established brands looking to grow in China and beyond."

Pete Lin, We Are Social’s North Asia CEO, added that Shenzhen technology brands “have increased demand for our global marketing services. We believe that by being there on the ground, we can more effectively address the needs of our current and future clients.”

We Are Social is part of the Plus Company.

It also has offices in New York, Los Angeles, Toronto, Madrid, London, Paris, Milan, Munich, Berlin, Amsterdam, Dubai, Singapore, Hong Kong, Beijing, Shanghai, Tokyo and Sydney.
