
Amanda Richman, U.S. CEO at GroupM’s Mindshare, has
abruptly stepped down from her post, which she had held for nearly two years.
No immediate explanation was given for the departure. The agency confirmed the parting of ways without further
elaboration.
Richman assumed the Mindshare role in April of 2021 after serving for nearly four years as U.S. CEO of sibling agency Wavemaker. She was that
agency’s first U.S. leader and helped to oversee the integration of the two agencies that merged to form it (MEC and Maxus).

Prior to joining GroupM in 2017 Richman was longtime media
executive at Publicis Groupe, most recently serving as president of investment. Earlier, Richman held senior-level positions at MediaVest and The Interpublic Group.

MediaPost All Star and Mindshare is MediaPost’s most recent Media Agency of the Year, for 2022.
Word of Richman's departure was disclosed to the agency's rank and file late Monday in a
memo from Global CEO Adam Gerhart and GroupM North America CEO Kirk McDonald. Gerhart and McDonald will oversee the operation until a successor for Richman is found.
