The Acura anime series, "Chiaki’s Journey," returns today for a second season with four new 60-second episodes.
The series premiered in 2022, chronicling the adventures of Chiaki, a young racing protégé, and her wise uncle Noboru.
The first season has been viewed nearly 275 million times, making it Acura’s most successfully viewed campaign to date.
The brand is teasing the series via a 30-second trailer on its website and social media.
Introducing the new 2024 Acura Integra Type S, the new season will debut during this weekend’s 48th annual Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach.

In season two, Chiaki takes on Colorado’s daunting Pikes Peak International Hill Climb in the new 2024 Integra Type S.
Bringing the anime series to life, the Acura Integra Type S will make its motorsports debut June 25 at The Broadmoor Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, presented by Gran Turismo, piloted by successful racer, Loni Unser.
In celebration of Chiaki’s Journey’s second season, Uncle Noboru’s garage from the anime series will come to life as a full-scale Type S garage at the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach.
Throughout the series, special appearances of vehicles like the RealTime Racing Integra Type R from the 1990s will pay homage to Integra’s strong racing history.
"Chiaki’s Journey," developed with agency partner MullenLowe Los Angeles, is available on YouTube and Acura.com/Type-S.
The campaign will be supported on digital lifestyle properties, including Crunchyroll, Kotaku, Jalopnik and Fandom, as well as through streaming and on social media. "Chiaki’s Journey" also will be displayed in outdoor media in major U.S. markets, including New York, Los Angeles and Miami. The series also features Spanish-language voiceovers of each volume.
