
Chicago-based marketing group Salient Global has
signed a definitive agreement to acquire Candor a marketing communications firm. Its offering includes reputation management, public relations, public affairs, social and digital media, video and
more.
The agency was founded in 2012 by CEO Karen Wicker and it works with companies such as Walmart, the Choctaw Nation, Devon Energy, Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum and
OU Health.
As part of the transaction, Candor employees will continue to work under the firm's brand name and be led by Wicker, who will remain CEO and adding the role of senior
managing partner of Salient, reporting to Salient CEO Bryan Specht.
Ally Glavas Olson will be promoted to president of Candor and become a Managing Partner at Salient.
Salient was
formed in 2021 by Specht, the former managing partner and chief growth and innovation officer of ICF Next.
In addition to Candor, agencies in the group include creative shop Honeymoon,
experience and innovation firm Timecraft and data-driven media firm ICX Media.
