For those of you attending the Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity (June 19-23) this year, no doubt your dance cards are filling up fast.
Here’s one more festival-long event to consider: For the first time, Omnicom will have a big presence on the beach behind the Palais.
The holding company has dubbed the space the Omnicom Cove and it has a week’s worth of panel sessions, sponsored meals, cocktail parties and other events all set.
Some big names will be on hand including film director Spike Lee, who is participating in a Wednesday afternoon session titled “The Black Creative Dilemma.”
Earlier that day Jonny Bauer, Managing Director of Portfolio Operations at Blackstone Group, and Leslie Barrett, newly minted president at Omnicom agency Goodby Silverstein & Partners, will discuss how they are “moving brand upstream to transform value creation in private equity.”
Adobe Chief Brand Officer, Heather Freeland and others will participate in a Monday session on how brands are putting purpose into action.
And of course, there will be a slew of other Omnicom executives and agency leaders at the Cove during the week including company CEO John Wren, president and COO Daryl Simm, BBDO CEO Andrew Robertson, OMD CEO George Manas and others.
