Starch Creative has opened a New York
outpost. Founded in 2015 by CEO Brandon Ball, the agency is based in Costa Mesa, California, and has offices in Portland, Oregon.
Jason Newman will lead the agency's New York team, based in
the SoHo neighborhood, as regional New York manager.
Starch Creative's client roster includes KITH, North Face, Oakley, Vans, Coca-Cola and
Converse.
Previously, Newman served as account director at both Safari Sundays and inter-marketing agency IMA-HOME. Prior to his agency experience, he worked on the in-house brand side for
Calvin Klein, R13, and Global Brands Group.
“While many companies are reducing their New York City office presence, Starch is eager to open office space in a city where experiential
retail has been on the rise since the pandemic subsided,” said Ball.

Most recently, Jason led the team in an Adidas x Premiere League Soccer pop-up in New York, that brought
to life activations and content centered around various European Clubs playing in the U.S. His team is also in charge of upcoming projects with Crocs and Samsonite.
“Being in the center
of the universe and having a New York City presence is key, especially when it comes to brand storytelling and retail,” said Newman.
