Dentsu Group Promotes Malegori To COO; Elevates Lin To Global Practices Head

 

In its continuing bid to drive growth and “client-centricity,” the holding company Dentsu Group has elevated two company veterans to new senior leadership roles.

Giulio Malegori has been named group chief operating officer. Jean Lin is now group president/global practices.   

Malegori (who retains his role as CEO/Europe Middle East & Africa) will lead Dentsu’s regional CEOs and work with them to help drive client growth. He is also tasked with streamlining business operations and IT.

He joined Dentsu in 2010 as president and CEO of Italy, assuming the responsibility of Southern Europe in 2013. He was appointed EMEA CEO in 2017 and is a member of the Dentsu Group Executive Management team. 

Lin is tasked with sharpening the Group’s core capabilities and will lead the key practice areas through Dentsu’s existing brands.  

Lin’s remit also includes improving the company’s knowledge and transformational capabilities, nurturing highly specialized talent and “establishing a full range of solutions and a roadmap for internal and external partnerships to achieve Dentsu’s vision to be at the forefront of people-centered transformations that shape society.” 

She joined Isobar in 2004 and was named global CEO in 2014. Since 2019, Lin held several senior executive positions at Dentsu International including global CEO CX and commerce, and global CEO creative. She became an executive officer of Dentsu Group Inc. in 2021 to develop the group’s business solution and accelerator for sustainability, Dentsu Good. She most recently served as a member of the Dentsu Group Executive Management Team and as chief culture officer.
