With the big day (Nov. 1) just around the corner,
Espolòn Tequila announced it is partnering with streetwear brand Paisaboys for an apparel collection inspired by Día de los Muertos.
The Día de los Muertos Calavera
Collection: The Afterparty Edition will officially drop on Nov. 1 on Espolòn’s newly launched merch shop, following up a Día de los Muertos streetwear collection released last
year.
The streetwear collection was designed to fuse the identity of both brands, with Paisaboys’ creators incorporating elements from Espolòn's bottle design, which itself was
inspired by Josè Guadalupe Posada’s illustrations featuring calaveras and roosters to share elements of Mexican history.
The collection includes a long-sleeved shirt
depicting a sugar skull, or calavera, donning a cowboy hat, as well the marigold flowers associated with the holiday; a snapback hat featuring both brands’ logos; and a bandana whose design is
inspired by the intricacies of the traditional papel picado decoration featured in Día de los Muertos celebrations, incorporating both marigolds and a crown of thorns.

Proceeds
from the collection will be donated to The National Association of Latino Arts and Culture a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting Latinx artists and creators through programming,
community revitalization funding and leadership training, research, and advocacy.
In addition to the collection, Espolòn will also be hosting a celebratory event in New York City on
Día de los Muertos, offering attendees an immersive experience featuring a larger-than-life Ofrenda” (an offering to the dead usually placed on a home altar), as well as authentic
food and cocktails.
