Paramount+ Expands Airlines Push With LATAM Deal

Under a new deal, Paramount+ will have a branded channel on planes in the LATAM Airlines Group.

The channel, offering a selection of Paramount+ content, will be available through the group’s in-flight entertainment system on more than 300 planes serving 145 destinations in 25 countries.

The LATAM deal is Paramount’s latest partnership aimed at increasing Paramount+ awareness as it continues to expand its presence in worldwide markets. The streamer already has agreements with Qantas in Australia, British Airways in the U.K., and Deutsche Bahn in Germany.

The LATAM channel will include content from popular Paramount+ franchises including “Yellowstone” and “Tulsa King.”

At launch, there will be special emphasis on promoting the streamer’s “Halo” series, based on the Xbox franchise.

Paramount, which has been keeping fans in suspense about the release date of Season Two — now rumored to be February 8, 2024 — has already made all of Season One available free of charge for streaming on YouTube within the U.S., and is making the whole season available on the LATAM planes, as well.

In addition, “Halo” promotions will take over LATAM’s welcome screens — the first time the screens have featured a third-party-brand.
