WHY Horizon Just Promoted Its Human Intelligence Chief

Just months after joining Horizon Media in the new role of "human intelligence" within its vaunted WHY cultural intelligence division, Scott Lukas has been put in charge, succeeding the unit's founder Sheri Roder, who is leaving the agency as part of a planned transition.

In his new role as executive vice president-Chief of WHY Group, Lukas will focus on driving innovation and revenue via "thought leadership, cutting-edge research and new product development," the agency said in a statement.

Lukas -- who joined the group in September from Boston-based MMB, where he was head of strategy for the Gulf State Toyota account -- has held a variety of agency, speaking and writing roles since starting out in the ad industry as an account planner at Chiat/Day in 1991.
