IPG agency EP+Co named Kat Shafer as president. Shafer replaces Allen Bosworth, who retired after 36 years with the agency.

Shafer, former Chief Client and Chief Growth Officer, is a 20-year EP+Co veteran, reporting directly to Alex Leikikh, IPG executive vice president, Interpublic Group.

During her tenure at the Greenville, S.C.-based shop, Shafer led the Verizon account. She also worked on John Deere, Michelin and General Mills.

But consistency doesn’t mean stagnation. Our identity is as an action-oriented agency for our clients and for our people. We plan to shake things up and swing big, without fear of striking out.”
