One taco chain's neon
teal-colored cult soda is about to celebrate a big birthday with several promos to get the party started.
Today Taco Bell announced that its ubiquitous brightly colored Mountain Dew Baja Blast turns 20 this year.
The chain is commemorating the event all summer with multiple freebies, offers and new products for what the brand calls its 20th BAJAVERSARY.”
On July 29, for one day only, customers can get a free medium-sized Mountain Dew Baja Blast fountain drink or a regular-sized Baja Blast Freeze.
On Tuesday, August 18 at 2 PM PST via the Taco Bell app, the brand will drop a limited edition StanleyXBajaversary Tumbler.
Available only for Taco Bell Rewards loyalty club members, the first 20 users to redeem one of the tumblers on that date will also receive free Mountain Dew Baja Blasts for one year.

"We're celebrating this incredible milestone just as much as our die-hard Baja fans and can't wait to share even more epic experiences, innovations and rewards as we continue to fuel our fans' love for Baja Blast."
Also only for Taco Bell Rewards Members, on September 3 the chain is launching Mountain Dew Baja Blast Gelato.
The limited-time dessert offering was first developed by PepsiCo Foodservice in partnership with Taco Bell with an LTO in 2023. The tropical lime-flavored frozen treat will returns nationwide for the first time, only available to order via the Taco Bell app.
The chain has also launched a “$1 Happier Hour” every day from 2–5 PM when fans can get a medium Baja Blast or a regular-sized Baja Blast Freeze for just $1.
The chain teased fans to “stay tuned for MTN DEW BAJA BLAST PIE coming later this year” in the release.
