Perplexity Forms News-Summary Partnership With Polymarket

Search engine Perplexity is working with Polymarket, a crypto firm that allows users to bet on events, in a partnership to share content in both directions.

“Now, when you search for events on Perplexity, you’ll see news summaries paired with real-time probability predictions, such as election outcomes, market trends, and beyond,” Perplexity posts.

In turn, visitors to Polymarket will now see a news summary based on search results from Perplexity, TechCrunch reports.

Statistical graphics will be generated via a link with Tako.

“We're already surfacing Polymarket on our search results through the Tako integration,” posts Perplexity CEO Aravind Srinivas. “We will further have Perplexity Pages by Polymarket, and integration of Perplexity on Polymarket through our API for event summaries.”

Polymarket has formed a similar partnership with Substack, allowing authors to embed prediction data in their articles, according to The Block

On its page on Tuesday, Polymarket offers such bets as “Will Kamala Harris drop out in August?” (it specifies a 1% chance) and Tim Walz replaced as Democratic VP candidate (a 5% chance).

In a separate development, Perplexity recently said it will start a revenue-sharing program with web publishers. The latter will benefit when Perplexity monetizes an answer from a publisher with advertising.
