Winemaker Launches Sutter Home For Hope Campaign To Benefit Breast Cancer Foundation

According to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, one in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime.

For the 24th year, winemaker Sutter Home has launched the annual Sutter Home for Hope Campaign, making it easy for its customers to give to the cause that most likely affects someone close to them.

From now until Dec. 31, customers can scan the specially marked barcode on Sutter Home Breast Cancer Foundation cobranded in-store signage, no purchase necessary. For every QR code scanned, the winery will make a $1 donation to National Breast Cancer Foundation, up to a total of $60,000.

"Sutter Home for Hope was created to unite our community in the shared fight against breast cancer," said Ashley Jappe, director of marketing for Sutter Home in a release, noting that this is the tenth year it has partnered with the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

Sutter Home for Hope initiative, which began in 2001, has raised more than $1.7 million to breast cancer charities. The brand cites the personal connection to the cause, as Vera Trinchero Torres, a Sutter Home founding family member, who was diagnosed with breast cancer.

According to the nonprofit, the “National Breast Cancer Foundation was founded to fill in the gaps of cancer care, ensuring every woman has the access and information she needs to get through every step of her breast cancer journey.”
