Emmy winner Hannah Waddingham ("Ted
Lasso") is setting sail on the Princess Cruises line.
Terri & Sandy's new creative global campaign "Love Boat by Hannah" showcases her singing talents and charm.
“Nostalgia is powerful. We knew Princess being the original Love Boat was the epitome of nostalgia for our 40+ target of new cruisers,” JP Gomez, creative director, Terri & Sandy, told Agency Daily. “We came up with the idea to reimagine the 'Love Boat' song, but needed a charismatic icon with style and elegance that could both represent the brand, and belt out a tune, in order to bring it to life.”
The “Love Boat by Hannah” campaign will roll out in a series of 6,- 15-, 30- and 60-second spots across the U.S., U.K., Canada, and Australia on connected TV, digital and social. The original "Love Boat" series aired from 1977 to 1986.

The flagship 60-second spot also appears in U.S. cinemas before "Wicked" and "Gladiator 2."
Dave Laden of Hungry Man directed the work.
Earlier this year, Waddingham was honored as the Godmother of the brand's new, next level Love Boat, Sun Princess — a title held by various celebrities, such as Diana, Princess of Wales, Audrey Hepburn and Sophia Loren.
Princess Cruises is part of Carnival Corp.
Terri & Sandy's client work has included Pilgrim's, FreshPet, Nutella and Icy Hot Kids.
