Iris Worldwide had expanded its remit for Beiersdorf, the parent company behind skincare brands Nivea and Eucerin.
It has appointed the agency, in collaboration with Cheil Brazil, Cheil Chile and Cheil UAE, as its lead search agency for emerging markets, including LATAM, Brazil and MENAT.
Iris currently handles the Beiersdorf search business in Europe and North America.
The appointment follows a competitive pitch.
With Chiel, Iris will develop SEO and PPC strategies to enhance Beiersdorf’s position in the skincare sector.
The new search strategy launches in January.
Serena Cestra, regional search lead EMEA, Beiersdorf, said Iris has “demonstrated an impressive ability to drive innovation at scale and have shown expertise in combining automation and creativity to deliver outstanding results. Its track record of delivering impactful work for our brand made it the ideal partner to support our global ambitions.”
Lucy Carter, managing partner, Iris Worldwide, added the win reflects “our proven ability to drive results through search.”
Iris has 14 offices worldwide. Client work has included Samsung, Adidas, Bentley, Pizza Hut and Samsonite.
