Columbus, OH-based marketing agency The Shipyard has appointed William Gelner Chief Creative Officer.
Before running his own agency, Gelner was chief creative officer and partner of Special U.S., an independent creative agency.

Prior to Special, Gelner served as Chief Creative Officer of Engine U.S. and, earlier, at Trailer Park. He also served as CCO and partner of 180LA.
Gelner’s appointment follows a company restructuring and a new client-facing operating model that it’s calling The Shipyard Collective.
The Shipyard’s former Chief Creative Officer, David Sonderman, has been appointed managing partner at The Shipyard Collective, leading the integration of digital, strategy and creative operations across all company brands.
