Fox Corp. is starting up a new senior advertising position -- chief strategy and operations officer -- and has hired veteran media executive Stephano Kim in the role.
Kim will report to Jeff Collins, president of advertising sales, marketing and brand partnerships for Fox Corp.
Fox says the goal for the new post is to bridge strategy and operations teams.
Kim will serve as a key strategist for Fox overseeing advertising sales strategy, solutions, platform partnerships and operations.
He has held positions at AT&T/WarnerMedia as chief strategy officer of Turner Broadcasting, chief data strategist at WarnerMedia, and executive vice president of corporate strategy/development ATT WarnerMedia.
He was responsible for restructuring and modernizing several business functions across Turner and building direct-to-consumer (D2C) efforts at what was then WarnerMedia.

Most recently, he worked with his two venture studios to foster advancement of innovation within the U.S. Department of Defense.
Kim will continue to have an advisory capacity at those businesses.
For its most recent fourth-quarter earnings period Fox posted major gains from heavy fourth-quarter NFL and political advertising, which were key in lifting Fox Corp.'s advertising revenue by 21% to $2.4 billion.
Taking out political ad business, Fox’s core advertising was up 11%.
