Google Unleashes Gemini Live Opinion Tool

Designer, fashion consultant, and personal stylist are all ways I would describe Google Live's latest video capabilities that allow users to ask questions, share their screens for advice and opinions on a variety of subjects.

The demonstration, presented at Mobile World Congress, demonstrated how the Gemini mobile app "Share screen with Live" button works.

This feature allows the user to have a conversation with artificial intelligence (AI). For example, a user taps the button, calls on Gemini, and asks what would pair well with the jeans displayed on their screen, and Gemini provides the user with some clothing suggestions.

During the video, Gemini shows the user two options. The user responds with "I like the turtleneck, but what jacket should I wear? The legs are super baggy."

Gemini responds: "Since the jeans are already kind of baggy, a denim jacket or a bomber jacket would be cool and casual."

The word choices used by Gemini are interesting, and I'm wondering whether the AI technology would use specific words to describe the items regardless of the consumer's age. Google did not discuss this in its announcement.

Another question, how should a SEO expert optimize the content on the brand's website, so Gemini Live pulls up its products as an option?

In another video demo, Google shows how Google Live with Video works. In this feature, the user taps the Live button voice mode on the Gemini app's home page, which leads to an interface with a camera button. The user shows Gemini Live several vases and asks: Which would be best for a "mid-century modern look?"

Gemini Live replies to the query by saying: "Based on the colors in the photo, I'd say the olive green or the muted blue tiles would fit that mid-century modern vibe best."

To complicate the decision more, the user asks which would better go with the pieces that are already glazed. Gemini responds: "between the olive green and muted blue, I think the olive green, the first one on the left in the second row, would be the better choice."

Tapping the Live button leads the user to Gemini app’s interface with a camera button. Through the camera the user can share their view with Gemini and ask questions about, as if they were on a live video call with another person.
